the island of the blue dolphins

This week I read The Island of Blue Dolphins again. It's a story about an Indian girl  named Karana who is on an island that is shaped like a fish sunning itself around it there are lots of creatures like blue dolphins( of course) and otters and other animals. Her tribe sails to the east but they leave her there. For many years she waits for a ship to come and get her It's the story of how she grows up, making shelter, making weapons, finding food and fighting wild dogs. I found this book kind of boring acctually and it is kind of similar to Hatchet. I've never heard of this book untuil now and I wouldn't give a high recommendation but if you have nothing to do, be my guest.

Number the stars

This week I read Number the Stars, I have read this book before but it was just as good this time.

In Denmark during World War 11. Annemarie Johansen, a 10-year old girl living in Copenhagen discovers that the Nazis are beginning to move/capture the Jews in her city. Ellen Rosen, a neighbor and classmate of Annemarie's, is Jewish. Annemarie and her family help the Rosens escape into  Sweden,

This is a really sweet and heartfelt book that I recomend to everyone.

One day on the bus Elanor and Park awkwardly sit together on the bus until they come to the conclusion that they both like good music and comics. Neither of them have the best lives and they like the other's company. It is a pretty good book and I would recommend it to everyone.

Book Blaug

Over spring break I read Eragon, I have read this book before and I loved it, the movie is much worse however. It is about a boy named Eragon, who finds a dragon egg, while hunting one day. Once the dragon is born, Eragon meets a mentor Brom who helps him become a dragon rider who eventually hopes to defeat the evil king of Alagaesia, King Galbatorix.

If your haven't read this, this book might sound cheesy. But if your have read this book you can back me up that this book is really good and it was written by a 15 year old.
